I’m just rewatching and finding out that Voldemort’s snake Nagini was once a human girl who shows up in Fantastic Beasts 2… and honestly it still feels weirdly tragic and a little unnecessary.

On one hand, it adds this sad layer of her being cursed and trapped in that form, which makes her loyalty to Voldemort even more twisted. On the other, it kind of undercuts the pure horror of her just being this ancient, evil, intelligent snake. I’m still not fully sold on the change, but it does make the whole thing more complicated than I remembered

John admits he suspected Zoe was the Manhunter and kept it from Hal.

Hal laughs.

Then comes the coldest part:

He walks away and leaves John to crash into a pole .... mirroring the Episode 1 crash.

The writer literally called this Hal at his “most selfish.”

But here’s what makes it interesting:

Is Hal justified for cutting John off after being lied to?

Or is this the moment Hal starts slipping into something darker?

Does he actually want John dead…

or is he deliberately isolating him so he can face Antaan alone?
