Sooo many figs coming in right now. Fig/peach jam is wonderful with a sharp Irish cheddar or chèvre on a cracker. These are my family’s heirloom Adriatic figs brought to America in 1901. Whenever someone moves house, they get a clone to plant at their new place.

What did you do the first time you heard word salad in person? At first, I would try to get clarification, which usually ended up with me putting words in her mouth that she was all too happy to agree with. Later, I stopped paying attention and the conversation would end.

Heaven help if you interrupt, divert, or cut off the supply they need to brace the fragile scaffolding that holds up their external victimized persona. They will strategize a way to force it, seek it outside the relationship, or leave altogether. #covertnarcissism

Why can't narcissists have original thoughts and opinions? They suffer from severe identity disturbance. This contaminates every aspect of their lives, causing profoundly damaging relationship and personal behaviors. Driven by their need to conceal the dark void where their self should be, the avoidance of potential shame, and the constant need to protect their fragile egos, narcissists will manipulate their friends, family, colleagues, and partners to view them in a favorable light. Stealing the ideas and opinions of others that have already been socially tested and approved is the narcissist's way of avoiding conflict and ensuring their self preservation and survival of ego.
