@Haylesdefi Honestly saying No to people is one of the hardest things for me. i end up feeling so guilty but this made me feel much better man. Thank you!
Everyone talks about the jobs AI will take.
Why is nobody talking about the jobs AI will create?
AI can code now.
AI can market.
AI can design UI.
AI can write copy.
AI can analyze data.
AI can make graphics.
AI can edit videos.
AI can generate images.
AI can build prototypes.
AI can create content.
AI can handle customer support.
AI can even make presentations.
So if AI keeps taking over the things we used to get paid to do…
what’s actually left for humans?
Literally everyone here knows how big nvidia is.
It’s currently worth over $5.5T.
But if you look deeper into it, it’s tokenized market is only around $155M.
That’s a gap of more than $5.3T and it shows how little of the traditional market has actually moved onchain.
When looking at RWAs, you don’t just ask how big the company or asset is.
Look at how much of it has actually been tokenized, and how much people are trading.
@coingecko RWA tracker currently shows around $55M in 24h volume for $NVDA tokenized market.
Market cap tells you the size.
Volume tells you how active it is.
And neither one alone tells you how easy it is to buy or sell a large amount without moving the price.
The bigger question is how much of the traditional market will eventually move onchain and whether the infrastructure can support it.
TOKEN2049 JUST GAVE US A PRETTY GOOD IDEA OF WHERE CRYPTO IS HEADING NEXT.
It explained what the financial system starts looking like when AI, stablecoins, RWAs and onchain markets actually begin to converge.
◢ Here’s what I’m watching.
➤ $HYPE —> Hyperliquid is thinking beyond being an exchange.
Jeff Yan’s message at TOKEN2049 was less about competing with other exchanges and more about what Hyperliquid could become.
The ambition is to build financial infrastructure that other applications can build on.
If that plays out, $HYPE isn’t just competing for traders.
It’s competing to become part of the financial stack.
➤ $SUI —> the AI agent narrative is getting more concrete.
Sui demonstrated a reported 40.6M TPS through Sui Tunnels at Basecamp, targeting AI agents and machine commerce.
That was a controlled demonstration, not everyday network performance.
But the reason behind it matters.
If AI agents start making payments, trading and interacting with apps autonomously, blockchain infrastructure could need to handle massive amounts of machine-generated activity.
Sui is clearly positioning for that future.
➤ $AAVE —> tokenized stocks could become major DeFi collateral.
Stani Kulechov suggested that lending against tokenized stocks could eventually surpass lending against crypto-native assets.
Aave is already exploring this direction.
If tokenized equities gain adoption, RWAs could move beyond being assets people simply trade and become collateral for borrowing and lending across DeFi.
That’s a much bigger opportunity.
➤ $COIN —> exchanges are becoming financial platforms.
Coinbase highlighted its completed Deribit integration at TOKEN2049.
Spot, futures, perps and options are increasingly being brought together under one platform, with Coinbase Pro also set to return later this year.
The direction is obvious:
Crypto exchanges are trying to become broader financial markets, not just places to buy and sell crypto.
➤ $LINK —> tokenization needs the infrastructure around it.
Chainlink’s Fulcrum is focused on institutional financing and collateral management across multiple blockchains.
Because putting an asset onchain is only one part of the problem.
Institutions also need ways to move, manage and coordinate collateral and liquidity across networks.
That infrastructure could become increasingly important as tokenization grows.
➤ $SECZ —> tokenized stocks are becoming real products.
Securitize launched blockchain-based trading for tokenized U.S. stocks including Apple, Nvidia and Microsoft.
These products are designed to be backed by underlying shares rather than simply being synthetic DeFi assets.
It’s another sign that traditional financial assets are starting to move onchain in more tangible ways.
➤ Stablecoins —> the conversation is moving beyond crypto trading.
TOKEN2049 had a main-stage session titled:
“Stablecoins: The Payments Industry, Rebuilt.”
PayPal, MoonPay and Rain were among the companies represented.
The question is no longer just whether stablecoins can move dollars around crypto.
It’s whether they can become meaningful rails for cross-border payments, merchants and settlement.
➤ Ethereum —> the conversation is getting bigger than ETH itself.
“Ethereum’s Next Act: From Asset to Economy” was another notable TOKEN2049 session.
Ethereum already sits at the center of a huge amount of DeFi, stablecoin and tokenization activity.
The next challenge is whether that infrastructure can support a much broader onchain economy and whether businesses and everyday users actually adopt it.
◢ The biggest takeaway from TOKEN2049?
➤AI agents need financial rails.
➤RWAs need liquidity and collateral markets.
➤Stablecoins need payment infrastructure.
➤Exchanges are becoming broader financial platforms.
➤And more financial activity is moving onchain.
