However housing is a middle class issue as well and can have a huge impact on the people’s spending power, local and state economy, environment, and the overall fortunes of the county.

Yes as described by Barbara Samuels, our article indeed focuses on middle class housing. Most articles focus on affordable housing which creates a perception that any housing initiative is solely focused on addressing needs of the poor.
@StephenBroache@BaltimoreCounty@JohnnyOJr Legit question. @fwdbaltimore piece focuses on aspect of housing crisis most felt by mid-class, not exclusionary zoning or resistance to subsidized housing. But still has potential to open some eyes. And old guard aging out. Only area still 90%+ White is outside the URDL divide.
The development process in @BaltimoreCounty is too ossified, the County Council too fuedal & self-interested, & the culture too NIMBY to respond to leadership. ("No apartments, no compromise"). We all saw the demise of @JohnnyOJr 's very modest mixed use bill. 1/
While retirees wait for some follow-up to the earlier Maryland Matters and Daily Record articles, I turned my DBM budget hearing testimony into an article for @fwdbaltimore. Share as you wish.

Comment from a District 6 resident &former Asst. AG on the proposed nominee:
"A very well-researched, well-written and and cogent argument. I hope someone pays attention. This appointment would be a travesty." @fwdbaltimore@indivisibletows@jufj@MDPoliceReform@BcpdClub@ACLU
