This all sounds reasonable until you consider what it means for public transparency and our ability to hold our leaders accountable if a govt can simply say "nah, we can't tell you what happened there because reasons" whenever something goes left on their watch.

Ramlogan's not wrong about the way the previous govt consistently refused to release reports in the public interest.

Surely the new govt is eager to rectify that and release the ones he identified, alongside the TSTT cyberattack and Arima fire reports, right?

I mean, the former AG absolutely *did* announce a "sinister" disappearance of a file before going on to withhold the investigative report and ultimately hand-wave its findings as anonymous incompetence for which no consequences were applied, so...

A group of students jumped a student directly in front of Holy Faith Convent, which is directly across the street from a police station.

Let that sink in for a sec.

Then study how the attackers apparently posted the evidence online themselves.

And then recall the NPTA's stance

The NPTA supports the PM's zero-tolerance approach to school violence but DOESN'T support holding parents accountable for their children's violent actions bc peer pressure, social media, and society also play a role.

So, my question is: when prosecutorial misconduct is so extreme that a judge writes 159 pages explaining why she permanently stayed the proceedings in order to protect the national perception of the justice system... What happens to those prosecutors next? Anything?

Details are always so scarce in these stories about human trafficking busts and they're always reported in isolation. A 6-month operation, 3 of the 12 women were victims and a single suspect arrested on suspicion of... what exactly?

So the former education minister did eventually step in to provide a sign language interpreter... for 3 months. Then the new PM froze all new contracts. Then the new OPM Minister says they're tackling these kinds of issues & tells the *reporter* to contact the relevant minister.
