@TheNerdAthlete_@ecossefilmmaker Yes.
From the '70's to early '00's the only fandom I knew where people I dealt with.
I first met toxic fandom in '03 over a computer game.
Now anyone can have multiple profiles spewing hate and others will pile in for lol's.
Too many listen to the loudest voices unfortunately.
@MarcusCandy77@Theryanrenault@KremlinTrolls Just a suggestion, try improving your reading comprehension. I said I don't trust MAGA and you read I'm a Thrumpite.
That said you might be right on the I'm a "rancid old man" bitb๐ค
@TheNerdAthlete_@ecossefilmmaker I've seen posted a Star Wars fanzine declaring that The Empire Strikes Back had ruined the story and they weren't supporting it anymore.
Hatred in the fandom has a long history.
@MovieTalkNOW1 Look mate, you didn't enjoy the movie characters etc, that's fine - your tastes are right for you. But when you come out with things covered in the movie your post comes across as a hate piece.
@MovieTalkNOW1 How did he know she was related to Superman? You mean apart from the video messages from SM on the ship he stole? Or did you sleep through that part?
Also if you watched the Superman movie you'd know the Kryptonite weakness was already known. Like they'll also have Google.
My son was playing computer games again, so I said:
'When Abe Lincoln was your age, he was studying books by the light of the fireplace.'
He thought for a moment and said:
'When Abe Lincoln was your age, he was the President of the United States.'
That's when I told him he was adopted.
@cautiousdave@GerryKeogh_@FitbaHeid You've reminded me.
My Dad, born Glasgow in '41, was anti Labour my whole life.
He once explained he'd been in the party until they excitedly told him they were being joined by members of the Orange Order, shortly after it had taken a detour on a march to stone a Catholic church.
