At the #E2A2026 conference, our CEO, Joseph Asunka (@joeasunka), moderated a high-level roundtable exploring the structural shifts needed to make evidence more inclusive, locally led, and responsive to Africa's development priorities.
At Afrobarometer, our citizen-generated data contributes to this vision by ensuring that African voices inform the policies and decisions that shape the continent's future.

It was a remarkable moment for me to participate as a panelist at Afrobarometer’s breakfast side event at the 2026 CEOs Conclave and Investment Forum. We established the clear imperative for businesses to dig into the deep trove of data and analyses to advise their strategies.

As 2025 comes to a close, we extend our sincere thanks to our partners, supporters, and friends for being part of another remarkable year.
In many ways, 2025 was an extraordinary year for Afrobarometer. We completed our 10th round of surveys, bringing our total to 280 surveys and nearly 440,000 respondents across 45 African countries.
We launched our second flagship report, published our 1,000th dispatch, and continued to feed Afrobarometer data into key public and policy conversations across the continent and beyond. We also expanded our footprint to new countries: Chad, Comoros, and Guinea-Bissau.
As we prepare to launch our 11th round of surveys in the coming year, we look forward to achieving even more with your continued support, as we amplify citizens’ voices and strengthen democratic governance across Africa.
Here’s to a peaceful holiday season and a year of continued progress ahead.

Mr. Felix Biga, Chief Operating Officer of Afrobarometer, highlighted the importance of data-driven decision making in education and how @afrobarometer has been doing studies on digital media... how people are consuming information, where they're getting it, and what devices they're using. He concluded “There's a wealth of data waiting to be mined!”
Government responsiveness and democratic performance, along with unmet socioeconomic needs, are important drivers of citizen engagement in Africa, a new Afrobarometer flagship report reveals.
