@heatherelf77 I hope many people got a chance to meet this sweetheart of a person! I'll never forget your kindness to me when I knew no one at the con in Chicago.
@kimashton I just hope we picked a good one! Definitely visited quite a few. She isn't the easiest patient and I know they are busy but hoping she connects with staff and residents.
After 15 yrs being mom's caregiver, we enter a new phase. She's moving into a nursing home for better care. Though I know we did everything we could, I can't help but feel guilty we aren't continuing and excited about getting my time back. Adulting sucks.
@TraceeM I agree. Like all change, I need to give time for adjustments. And that oldest child pressure to make all these decisions! I am looking forward to my first weekend with no full-time caregiver tasks.
@Mistyrose78 Thank you! I don't lie and say it's been easy or I've been the most patient caregiver, but I do know we did our best and this may be inevitable. We should be happy she's still healthy, but we all need a change.
