You are confusing circling a place that Allah has commanded us to honor with worshipping that place itself. Muslims do not worship the Kaaba or the Black Stone. Rather, they worship Allah alone, and Tawaf is an act of worship to Allah that He commanded.

If Muslims actually worshipped the Kaaba, why would they not pray to the Kaaba? Why would they say in their prayers: “You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help”? The Quran itself says: “So turn your face toward the Sacred Mosque” (Quran 2:144). The Kaaba is therefore our direction of prayer, not a god that we worship.

The Quran is also explicit that Tawaf is an act of worship commanded by Allah:

“And let them circumambulate the Ancient House.” (Quran 22:29)

As for the Black Stone, Muslims do not believe that the stone can independently benefit or harm anyone. Umar ibn Al-Khattab said to the Black Stone: “I know that you are only a stone; you can neither harm nor benefit.” He kissed it simply because he was following the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

So there is a fundamental difference: we do not circle the Kaaba because it is a god; we circle it because Allah commanded us to do so. We do not prostrate to the stone seeking something from it, nor do we call upon it or ask it for help. Worship belongs to Allah alone.

If you want to criticize Islam, criticize what Islam actually teaches—not an image you see from a distance and then label as “worshipping a stone.”

Circling the Kaaba does not mean worshipping the Kaaba, just as facing the direction of prayer does not mean worshipping that direction. What matters is who the worship is directed toward—and Muslims direct their worship to Allah alone.

الله سبحانه وتعالى غني عن خلقه جميعًا، ولم يخلق الملائكة لحاجةٍ إليهم، بل خلقهم لحِكَمٍ عظيمة لا نحيط بها كلها. والملائكة عبادٌ مكرمون، خلقهم الله لعبادته وتنفيذ أمره، ومن وظائفهم ما أخبرنا الله به: منهم من يحمل العرش، ومنهم الحفظة والكتبة، ومنهم من ينزل بالوحي، وغير ذلك.

وأما قولك: «الملائكة ليسوا تحت اختبار مثلنا»، فليس معنى ذلك أن وجودهم بلا غاية؛ فالله خلق كل مخلوق لحكمة، ولكل مخلوق وظيفته التي تناسبه. نحن نُبتلى بالتكاليف والشهوات والاختيار، والملائكة طبيعتهم مختلفة، ﴿لَا يَعْصُونَ اللَّهَ مَا أَمَرَهُمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ﴾ [التحريم: 6].

والأهم: لا يصح أن نقيس أفعال الله بحاجتنا نحن؛ لأن الله سبحانه الغني الحميد، يفعل ما يشاء بحكمة، وليس لأنه محتاج إلى شيء من خلقه.
