i just noticed something interesting on jessica's instagram.

she quietly removed several of her old highlight categories, including bne and shine bright novels

those projects were not only a significant part of her post-snsd journey, but also among her most talked-about works. over the years, many fans, critics, and haters have interpreted the novels in different ways, with some believing they reflected her departure from snsd or the relationships surrounding that period. however, those interpretations have always remained speculation rather than something that has been confirmed.

now, the only permanent highlights left are "reflections" and beep beep.

what also caught my attention is diamond dreams. i can't remember whether it was never added as a highlight or if it was added and later removed, but either way, reflections is one of the very few projects she ultimately chose to keep on her profile instead of beep beep.

it also raises an interesting question: did jessica intentionally remove bne and shine bright because of the controversy and endless speculation that have surrounded them for years? we can't know her reasons, of course, but it's an interesting contrast that while those projects are gone, reflections – a project centered on embracing the past rather than debating it – remains. if that were the case, it wouldn't necessarily mean erasing the past. instead, it could simply reflect a desire to no longer let those controversial projects define the conversation around her past – something "reflections" seems to approach in a much more direct, open, and positive way.

to me, that feels intentional. "reflections" has always seemed to be more than just a concert tour. throughout the tour, jessica repeatedly spoke about reflecting on her journey, embracing her past, and appreciating everything that shaped her into who she is today.

that message naturally resonated with many fans because the concert itself included several snsd songs and moments that acknowledged an important chapter of her career. rather than trying to distance herself from that part of her life, "reflections" felt like an opportunity to embrace it with gratitude.

maybe that's why, out of everything she's created over the years, "reflections" remains at the center of her profile, alongside with beep beep.

whatever the reason behind these changes, i hope they're a sign of a new era for jessica – both personally and professionally. a chapter where she can embrace her past with peace, while continuing to grow, create, and be appreciated for who she is today rather than for the controversies that have followed her for years.

and i hope fans can grow alongside her too, just as she's said before. "reflections" feels like an invitation not only for jessica to embrace her journey, but for fans to embrace it with her and look ahead together.

the timing is also interesting. she removed those highlights about a month before snsd 19th anniversary and roughly a year before their 20th anniversary. it may mean absolutely nothing, but it's certainly an interesting coincidence to keep in mind.
