@p_bov1 That’s just it though. It doesn’t clearly hit his arm across his forehead.
The arm may be in an ‘unnatural position’, however some of this is due to contact from Trusty. It doesn’t however make his body bigger. There are various factors but it is 100% not clear it hits his arm.
@ThisMyStoryPod Collum will say he wasn’t sure there’s enough contact so came to the right decision. He’ll then say Beaton was able to see the hand ball in 14 seconds despite anyone other than those in green specs seeing it, so got it right. He always defends his bhoys in black.
@Niall__Brennan@stellytalks@bet365 Let me know how you get on with this. I have a similar situation- escalated it to IBAS as all the other bookmakers have settled on VOID.
@m312055@SuperJoeSavage It’s not really a narrative when it’s there in black and white when the game ‘ended’. Scottish football is in the gutter with corruption.
@colhoun_ross@StaunchiusP Valid points however there was an argument before FC left on loan that we should keep him. Scored a few goals & always did well for us in the limited games he played. Skov Olsen made it look like he probably needed to move - dont think anyone anticipated just how poor he’d be.
My take: the ball hitting a hand is not always a handball offence. You have to either
1.) deliberately touch the ball with your hand, or
2.) ball hits your hand/arm when it's made your body unnaturally bigger.
This isn't deliberate, and if the ball hits his hand - which is on his forehead in the middle of a normal footballing challenge - he hasn't made his body unnaturally bigger. Because the ball would have hit his head anyway, so his hand on his head does not make his body unnaturally bigger.
Furthermore, VAR can only recommend an on-field review for a clear and obvious error. There is only one camera angle available, which does not show that the referee has missed a clear and obvious error. We can't see clearly where the ball hits.
This is categorically not what VAR was brought in for, and it all needs ripped up in the summer. This is a really poor look for Scottish football, as you can see from the international condemnation online since the game.
You really have to feel for Hearts. Unless you're a Celtic fan of course, that must have been class. But if you're not a Celtic fan. Deary me. Could be a generation defining decision, never mind season defining!
@BigGreegsy1@TheCelticWay3 That’s the problem with these clowns doing ‘punditry’ - don’t know the rules & just make things up to suit their point. ‘he wasn’t saving it anyway’ - completely irrelevant. If a defender dives & saves a shot with his hand that’s going wide. No penalty? ‘Wasn’t going in anyway’.
