@buckmoy I don’t want to diminish the research of CMXT but point out a failure of German policy. Had Qimonda received the same support as CMXT, I believe Qimonda could still be a relevant player today. Unfortunately, there are many such examples, most recently Vatra in Germany.

This shows what sustained government support can achieve. CMXT bought the IP of the former German memory player Qimonda, which went bankrupt in 2009. Germany did not provide the €625 million needed for rescue at the time, partially due to EU rules on state aid

@buckmoy I am sure CMXT did a lot of R&D too. Qimonda had just finished developing its buried worldline tech in 2009, which serves as the core of CMXT tech today. These patents also provided a sound basis compared to Fujian Jinhua, which was (temporarily) put on the US entity list in 2018

@RTSG_News This has been a mystery to me for a while. Vapes are very illegal in China and it's quite strongly enforced. In Hong Kong, as of April it will be illegal to even use a vape in public. Yet all vapes in Europe are produced in China 😂
