The pro-EU&NATO propagandists never explain just what EU-led military missions look like. Mali is a textbook case - rife with corruption, lack of transparency, war crimes - a racist, neo-colonial resource war.

The Irish Times naturally doesn't reveal O'Sullivan's affiliation in her anti-neutrality piece today. She's the director of a defence thinktank, Security Ireland. Amongst other things, it advises investors on 'opportunities' to be had in the EU's €800bn arms industry bonanza.
The problem with so much of this analysis is the premise that the US-EU relationship is ending.
Beneath the rhetoric, there is very little evidence of this. From AI to NATO to LNG, Europe is set to remain a subordinate partner within the transatlantic alliance.

Wrote a piece for @VoiceSocialist on the government lies about it's attack on Irish neutrality. Doing what basically no mainstream media or politician has been doing - looking at the text of the bill and explaining what it means for our neutrality.
The US deliberately bombed the school in Minab murdering 120 Children. They thought it would morally destroy Iran. Never forget that the EU + Member States refused to condemn this US War Crime...
Still, Minab – Episode 4: The Second Explosion
This episode stays with me to this day, in ways I am still learning how to hold. It reveals a different architecture of life/one that stands in stark contrast to the logic of capitalist imperialism, and offers another measure of what it means to be human.
Children were not the only victim of Minab's massacre. This episode is centered on Ahmad Salari, a 40-year old father who entered the school after the first strike, found his daughter, carried her out alive, and then returned to save other children. Witnesses unanimously testified that the school was struck three times within minutes. Ahmad was killed in the second explosion.
Agha Ghasem, Ahmad's father, as he was trying to hold back his tears, looked me in the eye and said, “May God accept our Ahmad.”
The principle of sacrifice is what distinguishes a revolutionary society from settler colonial societies rooted in genocide and shaped primarily by material comfort and self-preservation. A society unwilling to sacrifice cannot meaningfully challenge injustice, no matter how clearly it recognizes it.
The erosion of sacrifice has contributed to a political culture in which the West’s criminal leaders are not held accountable for the suffering inflicted in and beyond their borders. The peoples of the Global South have too often paid for that failure, in blood and in life.
Where societies are conditioned to prioritize material comfort over sacrifice, and consumption over solidarity, even live-stream genocide can become normalized. This is especially true where populations materially benefit from systems of domination, dispossession, and war carried out by their governments.
Here, then, we come to an even deeper realization of what is at stake in the resistance to the US-Zionist death machine. Against the false world centered on profit, fear, and cowardice, a true world centered on solidarity, love, and sacrifice struggles for victory.
Ahmad, picked up this struggle from those who came before him and carried it forward for those who will come after, sacrificing his life for a liberated future that was not for him to see.
This episode is dedicated to those who sacrifice for these larger truths. To Ahmad, to Agha Ghasem, to all Iranian men, fathers, and grandfathers, who, across time and space, have sacrificed for truth and liberation.

The grotesque, nightmarish end point of Western elites instrumentalizing post-Soviet "social racism" and just plain racism for their geopolitical agendas, turning the heads of our own worst losers with hatred to keep stoking the sacrifice of Ukrainians' bodies and dignity. 1/2
If Merz has the lowest approval rating of any German chancellor in history and centrist parties are imploding, it's because of decades of imposing neoliberal cruelty and becoming unbearably arrogant. This is their "why don't they eat cake?" moment. We know what should come next.
Relentless whining and fake news from the government parties about the sunset of Operation Irini's UN mandate.
They say it shows why we need to get rid of the Triple Lock. It actually shows why we need to keep the Triple Lock? Why? Read on. 🧵⬇️
@BarryAndrewsMEP What has being part of the EU's shadow war against Russia got anything to do with neutrality?
Stopping us getting involved in this nonsense is precisely why the Irish people won the triple lock provision, because of warmongers like you dragging us into conflict at every turn.
The most dangerous outcome of today's Israel-Lebanon negotiations in Washington is not simply normalisation with Israel, or even the normalisation of its occupation and aggression, but the official forging of a soon-to-be-announced threat-based alliance between the Zionist enemy and the US on one hand, and the Lebanese authorities on the other with Lebanon positioned as the junior co-belligerent in a counter-insurgency/counter-"terrorism" mandate against the resistance. And because Hizbullah is not an external militia but the organic political-military expression of an entire resistance community, this counter-insurgency mandate is also a war on the Shia community as a political community.
This is not an overstatement when the reported formula ties any actual ceasefire to two parallel tracks: a gradual Israeli withdrawal that could take up to two years, and a comprehensive Lebanese-Israeli-US enforcement “mechanism” to disarm the resistance. In this manner, the end of Israeli occupation and aggression becomes the reward for dismantling Hizbullah, rather than the starting point of diplomacy.
This reverses the entire logic of the conflict, treating resistance not as the effect of occupation, but as its cause, and effectively relocating the enemy from without to within.
The occupation is thus transformed from aggression into an invited disciplinary presence, preserving Lebanon as a US protectorate organised around a political, economic and security order whose central purpose is the suppression of resistance to its own territorial dismemberment.
What this framework cannot account for is that Hizbullah is not an organisation imposed on a community, but a community that organised itself. Mechanisms can seize facilities and weapons, but they cannot seize the will of a people who have spent more than four decades resisting and sacrificing, in different ways, for their land, lives and dignity. That community will fight, not despite this arrangement but because of it, and because it understands, better than any party in Washington or Beirut, that what is being demanded of it is not disarmament but political annihilation. And it won’t just be Israel they will be fighting, but Lebanon’s internal Israelis, i.e. the right-wing authorities and their allies who have made themselves the domestic arm of the enemy’s war.
@banbloodsports PUT THE COUNCILLOR SALARY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS!
Martin McNamara was coopted to Galway County Council pledging to vacate if he left SF. He left over SF's support for the fox hunting ban but refuses to step down.
Forfeit the salary and resign.

People who call for an imaginary 'international military coalition' against Israel to be formed & simultaneously ignore (or far worse) Iran and the Axis of Resistance are absurd. Such a coalition already exists but many are too busy accepting imperialist lies about it to realise.
