A young girl from Sri Lanka has won over the internet with her porcupine “brother.”

In one clip, she explains she’s from Sri Lanka. “Senehma’s residence. We are not from Bangladesh but the beautiful village called Sinhapura in Polonnaruwa.”

In the most viral video, which Prabha Silva posted on June 11, you see her walking in a paddy field carrying an animal as her porcupine faithfully trails her. Silva captioned it: “Little porcupine brother going to the paddy field with his elder sister.”

Sri Lankan fighter Aashiq Nazeer has won a gold medal in the senior category at a WBC Muay Thai event, marking what local Muay Thai officials describe as a historic achievement for the country.

Remember 'Beautiful'?

The estranged, or rather discarded pup that was a tangle of shivering skin, bones, pooping blood, dying outside our house?

This is her.

Nursed her back to health these past few months. She is a ball of energy. Still very scared of people on account of how her previous owners had treated her.

If anyone can give her a warm, caring home, please do hit me up.

I have too many rescues and she deserves to be adopted by peeps that can give her love and attention because of the trauma she's endured.

PS - All her siblings have perished or been dumped some place, and the mom is now MIA too. Those of us who know, can only guess what the wretched owners have done to her as well.

A nation where the flag bearing, pirith blasting pious folk refuse to neuter an animal because it is 'culturally inappropriate' but decide it is totally fine to torture, abandon, and have them dumped at temples and other places.
