of Jenkins lake. Spots are still just south of the lake and are active. Bulk of head fire is moving out northeast corner into more forested and non pop areas. Will need double the retardant to keep the flanks.

AA also confirmed they rotors are working really good on #CaldorFire

Summery of Air Attack.
Forward progression North has slowed just a bit. Backing off earlier prediction of the fire will be at HWY 50 by dark… but did not follow up with when he believed it would reach HWY50. North west shoulder of fire is moving towards the east side #CaldorFire

[Martin Cordeiro @fytnfireman]

The Air Tankers are all business right know. Unbelievable professionalism and courage. Working hard on steering the fire to protect life. Leek Springs @AlertWildfire cam is just evil #CaldorFire

Wonder if @CHPPlacerville and @ElDoradoSheriff considered making sly park rd. two lanes, one way, and bring in fire resources from Pleasant Valley UNTILL most have evac-ed? So many were caught in gridlock evacuations during the #camp fire. At least the folks are doing this now!

Only 2 "spotting" planes. One is the IR Ship and the other is possibly CalDor Air Attack. Scanner traffic broke up... Reach 17 in the area. 🙏 #CaldorFire

#CaldorFire EDSO has issued new evacuation orders for Sly Park area and a Warning for Pollock Pines area. Make sure you have signed up for Code Red alert system.

[Randy C @BigWhiteFireDog]

#CaldorFire El Dorado County. Evac orders will be going out soon for evac warnings all the way to Hwy 50 in Pollock Pines. Major defense effort being planned for Mormon Emigrant Trail

[Martin Cordeiro @fytnfireman]

@justinreed0 @CountyElDorado @ElDoradoSheriff Zonehaven Aware! works very well, easy too. Sadly, we her about EVAC orders over the scanner first way before EDSO ever puts them out. Not sure why they have not modernized. AEU for Cal Fire is best of the best, they seem to not be able to convince EDSO. Frustrating for sure
