Hong is running for the Wisconsin governorship, with her candidacy buoyed by rising support for democratic socialists across the country. Voters are fed up with Republican incompetence and criminality, but they're also tired of status quo, centrist, corporatist Democrats. Hong currently has a double-digit lead in the Democratic primary.

“Being able to make sure folks have what they need, when they need them from the state, is something that I believe many Wisconsinites have actually been telling me, that these are the things that they want to prioritize,” added Hong.

This is exactly the kind of messaging that Democrats should embrace. Republicans are trying to turn these upcoming elections into a referendum on "communism" to distract from Donald Trump's failed presidency and their own deranged radicalism.

The Republican Party is responsible for the most corrupt White House in American history. Its views on abortion rights and LGBTQ rights are profoundly out of step with the average voter. They are a pro-rapist, pro-pedophilia party as proven by their ongoing role in the Epstein coverup. They are the "Israel First" party and are funding this illegal war against Iran for the benefit of a foreign country. They want to make us all poorer and sicker by keeping wages depressed to benefit corporations while slashing Medicare and Medicaid.

Meanwhile, democratic socialists like Hong support free school meals, universal childcare, paid family leave, boosting education spending, raising the minimum wage, creating affordable housing, abolishing ICE, and pursuing moratoriums on AI data centers.

Those ideas only seem "radical" if you've been brainwashed by Fox News and Republican lies!
