The more I think about Arteta, looking at who he’s has worked with, what other players have said about him, his approach, his style. If he’s sponged knowledge from his mentors he could be a great appointment.
"If someone poisons that tree, he's OUT."
Mikel Arteta reveals he has planted a tree as one of the tools he uses to motivate his squad. [@5liveSport, @GuillemBalague]
These are the teams we used to better our goal difference this season.
6-0 vs West Ham
6-0 vs Sheffield United
5-0 vs Sheffield United
5-0 vs Crystal Palace
5-0 vs Burnley
5-0 vs Chelsea
We treated Chelsea like Sheffield United and Burnley 😂😂😂.
Guardiola inherited a Bayern Munich side that had just won the Champions League, knocking Barcelona out 7-0 on the way
He won 0 UCLs in 3 attempts
He then inherited a Man City side that had won 2 of the previous 4 PL titles, and would go on to win 5 of the next 6
He won 0 UCLs in his first 6 attempts
But Arteta is being questioned for not winning it at his first attempt, 4 years into his managerial career, with a squad who had largely never played in the competition?
Interesting.
