A humble note to the young generations of India,

Please take a moment to reflect. This isn’t just about our generation anymore. Our fate is largely sealed. This is about our children, nieces, nephews, and their kids generations.

A few months ago, our nation was caught up in anger, ready to escalate tensions with a neighboring country while overlooking our own internal security challenges and foreign policy failures. Now, we’re enjoying cricket matches with the same nation. There’s nothing wrong with celebrating India-Pakistan cricket rivalry. Many of us grew up cherishing those moments where we came together as a nation and celebrated our victories.

I don't blame us either. We were all angry because of what had happened in Pahalgam. And, our mainstream media who has sold its soul for money milked the entire situation and created the whole panic. And, when we got external pressures to calm things down, the whole narrative changed WITHIN A DAY.
Please never forget - How our beloved government and media politicized entire situation while keeping the common people in dark on such a big security lapse or How India stood alone on the global stage, receiving no support from other nations despite being the country that suffered from that tragic incident

If you still trust our leadership then you may not got out of propaganda bubble, and you may not yet see the broader challenges we face. Since 2014, significant issues have emerged that deserve scrutiny. I don’t blame anyone for being unaware. After all there’s a well-funded (in billions of dollars) effort to keep us distracted with misinformation while critical issues are sidelined.
Please try to understand how money works. You will quickly realize that our government is working for India's rich class at the expense of the middle and lower classes. Wealthiest people in our country spending billions of dollars in political donations, PR campaigns while owning the major mainstream media to control the information you consume to keep us ignorant and they get their investment in returns through their corporate profits and government deals.
They are real winner in this system and by definition we are on the losing side. As per a report, since 2014 - middle and poor class has lost more than 5% in the wealth share to rich class. There is a reason why rich is getting richer in our country. The sooner we realize as a nation, the better it is.

Many may not know that a court recently ordered the removal of videos and reports about one of India’s wealthiest individuals, limiting public access to important information. Thankfully, our country still got brave journalists and they are still fighting, securing a stay on that order to protect our constitutional rights.
Our mainstream Media has completely fallen and slowly both Bureaucracy and Judiciary is also weakening. This is not something new. This is the same script that has been seen in other nations where democratic institutions erode gradually. It starts with one constitutional right at a time then all at once. It's time to pay attention on REAL issues.

There is a reason why our country's internal debt has quadrupled since 2014 yet not a single long term economic problem was solved
There is a reason why our cities come to complete halt in one heavy rain. Our bridges are collapsing and roads are full of potholes within few months they are built
There is a reason why our government keeps scamming people in the nation service and funneling money from middle/poor class to rich class systemically.
There is a reason why India is 2nd nation in the world where people are surrendering their citizenship.
There is a reason why we are no where close to a developed country economy while paying so much in taxes.
There is a reason why we have high unemployment in our country.
There is a reason why our society is so radicalized that people with different opinions can't have respectful discussions without bringing Hindu-Muslim in the conversation.
There is a reason why things looks unaffordable even after working so hard.
There is reason why no one holds our current government accountable while they are slowly taking our country to bankruptcy and radicalizing our unemployed youth.
Please remember - in a developed country economy wealth gap between its people should be decreasing.

If you don't believe in above issues thats okay too. As I already said, real money is being spent to keep us ignorant about these issues. And rich people don't waste their money if it was not working.

And if you believe in the above issues but wonder why this is happening. The reason is simple. We have a dumb, incompetent, highly insensitive, dishonest, hate mongering person as our leader who is clueless about our social and economical problems. Our government is serving to India's wealthiest people. Think about this way - we have our beloved leader for more than 10 years now who is apparently an incarnation of God as per himself and yet our middle and lower class feeling like a loser in this game. See, you have to understand that system has not failed us. It is working as designed. It is just not working for us.

Soon 2000's generation will be going through job hunt in this deep recessionary environment. When they will not land on jobs even after studying hard in their teen age, how will you feel? How will you feel as a parent who have been paying ridiculous amount of your hard earned money in their schooling?
Will you be content and happy knowing that you have saved your religion? Will you also suggest them just like our beloved leader suggested the youth in 2018 that selling pakoras is also a form of employment. Given current world geopolitics - not everyone will have a chance to settle in another country just to get basic things in life which all of us as a decent tax payer citizens should be getting by default.

Our beloved leader's fate is sealed too. The truth will eventually surface, as it always does. Thats the funny thing about the TRUTH. The thing is Economy doesnt work on "Modiji ne kiya hain to kuch soch samjh ke hi kiya hoga" principle. History may not look kindly on a leader who failed to address our core challenges while deepening divisions and economic woes.
There is a reason why our beloved leader can't do any press conferences and why he keeps doing one sided conversations (aka Man Ki Baat) for more than 10 years. When the inevitable economic crisis hits our nation - our future generations will ask tough questions about what we did during this time. And, as a dad I can tell - it wont feel good to admit that we were swayed by filter news from mainstream media and social platform like Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram.
So, please, stay informed. Seek out diverse sources of information. Platforms like X can offer real-time perspectives from people on the ground, but always verify what you read. Look beyond mainstream narratives and trust your own eyes and ears.

And if you are like me who doesn't have iota of faith in our current leadership and have concerns where our country's ship is heading. Please know, we are not choosing the captain of this ship. It is our parent generation. They prioritized solving their religious problems first over economical problems. But it is us and our children generations that will face the consequences of their poor priorities.
I don't think other parties are the solution too. They have been in parliament and still failing to make people aware about real issues because they themselves are incompetent too. All we need is 300-400 good and honest young people who can understand the pain of current generations and are smart enough to solve these hard problems in Parliament. This is a conversation for another day.

For now we have to focus on our current major problem. And that is - we have a government who is not representing us anymore and have been failing in their economic, social and foreign policies even since they came into power. And most importantly they are after our constitutional rights. Our grand parent generation gave us constitution because they were smart enough to know the flaws of democracy.

Dr B.R Ambedkar once said "Bhakti in religion may be a road to the salvation of the soul. But in politics, Bhakti or hero-worship is a sure road to degradation and to eventual dictatorship", We were dangerously close to losing our constitutional rights in 2024 but we woke up at the right time and didn't give full majority to our beloved leader. Just imagine what would have happened if we had given them 400 seats and power to change the constitution.

18 months ago, I posted below tweet. I still believe India needs another revolution and it has to be done by our generations because it's about our kids. It doesn't have to an old style revolution. It can be a digital revolution too. All we have to do is make people aware of truth. If you have family, friends and colleagues who are still not aware about our current problems, please bring them on X. Share the news with them which matters.
Avoid getting in discussions on religion. Stay on social, economic and constitutional issues. Repost the content which you think should be read by more people. Never underestimate the power of exponential reach. Once we have more people talking about these issues, algorithms will automatically take care. Good thing is that our generation out numbers our parents generation and we are more tech savvy than them.
