What an amazing afternoon for watching Bitterns down at @RSPBMiddleton today. At least four different birds were seen, the last being the one in the set of pictures who kindly launched himself from the reeds in front of us!

Spotted this Red Kite over the main car park at @RSPBMiddleton yesterday. This is the first time I've seen one there but I know there have been sightings in the past.

Had a great afternoon at @RSPBDorset on Monday. Really pleased to see an Osprey for the first time and a bonus fish! Black-tailed Godwits were also showing well. All seen from the Curlew screen.

Interesting behaviour by a Jackdaw down at #CalkeAbbey today who seemed to be removing flies from this Deers ear! She looked to be enjoying it😀
@Natures_Voice@nationaltrust
@nationaltrust having checked the Calke Abbey website to ensure it was open today and then driven one hour to get there, only to find it was closed due to a flooded carpark and told "it's on Facebook" by staff which we don't use was more than annoying. Sort it out please NT !
