let us look at Musk's pitch deck to banks for the twitter takeover
in 2022, he said he'd create a $10 billion dollar subs biz by 2028
today, ad revs down 75% & subs biz is 6.4 million, (generously, $375 Million)
the numbers are hogwash

ARK Invest published its 2021 “research” report on Tesla, thoughtfully estimating metrics on where the car company would be in five years. The results are in. Turns out Cathie & Co were just a tad bit optimistic in their forecasting skill. That was sarcasm. The scorecard: 1/
NEW: Asked whether one of the big 4 US carriers - American, Delta, Southwest & United - could swallow up a rival, the industry’s top regulator says: “I think there’s room for some mergers” and “Trump loves to see big deals.”
Consolidation is (almost) always bad for consumers.
NEW: In a letter to employees, United CEO Scott Kirby says the airline is prepping for oil to hit $175/barrel &
“doesn't get back down to $100/barrel until the end of 2027.”
United is shaving 3% of off-peak flights - “think redeyes, Tues/Wed/Sat flying” - this spring & summer.
One really interesting item in @Waymo letter to @SenMarkey: vehicles can reject remote assistance personnel suggestions: “This distinction is
fundamental to our safety model, ensuring the vehicle’s onboard system remains the primary, real-time authority for safe operation” https://t.co/Omjv1k3i5V

BREAKING: Transportation Sec. Sean Duffy says the FAA will *reduce flight capacity* in U.S. airspace starting Friday morning if air traffic controllers continue to go unpaid.

We are following reports of a crash in Louisville possibly involving a UPS MD-11. Based on the timing and loss of data from the flight, we are working to confirm if the flight involved is #5X2976 operated by N259UP. Details are currently UNCONFIRMED. https://t.co/SWTMMxjTGs
This could get interesting very quickly.
The DOT told airlines on Monday that - if Essential Air Service funding were to lapse - they can suspend service to subsidized communities.
This program is intended to link small communities with the broader air transportation network using routes that would otherwise not be sustainable without subsidies. This could leave dozens of airports without air service.
And of course, given the long-standing bipartisan support for EAS, there's an obvious political wedge the Trump administration is trying to drive here too.
NEWS: Ram has officially canceled its plans to bring an all-electric pickup truck to market, saying that there isn't enough demand.
“As demand for full-size battery electric trucks slows in North America, Stellantis is reassessing its product strategy and will discontinue development of a full-size BEV pickup.”
Originally, Ram planned to introduce a 500 mile range Ram 1500 electric pickup truck. These were supposed to be the specs:
• 229 kWh battery
• 500 mile EPA range
• 800v system, up to 350kW charging
• Bi-directional charging
• 14,000 lb tow capacity
• 15 cubic feet frunk
Then, Ram pivoted to just focusing on launching a 350 miles version. Both have now been canceled.
