A usr/srv can not trust the data if your api can not assure (both user and app). Neither the user nor the application has any clue if the data is compromised or not. #security Weakest link in the chain will be broken and propagated. More often it costs nothing to build it in.

how many times i need to argue about the stupidity of out of band crypto. Building an API and you will call it secure just because you would use https is just stupid. #Cryptography usage should be the agreement/trust between the end usr (not hop) and the final decision maker.

If you unlock the bootloader of an Android device, you *actually can* run almost whatever software you want! (Except proprietary/trusted components such as the bootloader, TEE, radio, firmware etc.)

@digitaldutta Agreed. There is a clause on where it stated they can use the data for pandemic response. That was little confusing as it means lot. The second point is purely a technical way of how we should have thought about this API even if consent was obtained.

Co-WIN's privacy policy does not allow NHA/MOHFW to share the data with private entities, the data can only be used by Government of India or State Govts. The new COWIN APIs violate their own privacy policies.
