@hannah_moors I am so sorry, Hannah. It is confusing and demoralizing. Some people think teachers have job security. They don’t understand the imperfect system. Believing the best for you to stay because you said you liked this position.
In less than 3 years, One Last Wave Project has launched 8 memorial boards and helped thousands of people grieving their loved ones. Dan Fischer’s story of how an idea to honor his dad transformed into a world-wide community is remarkable.
The magnitude of emotions that washed over me carrying board 8 onto the beach, and with it, the promises made to 1222 beautiful souls to be back in a place they loved.

Last call for submissions for our Cornwall, UK board set to be released later this month. You can still submit your loved one through our website. Here’s is a glimpse of it being made ❤️🌊🏄🏻♂️
Founder of One Last Wave Project, Dan, took his own grief of his father’s death and created something magnificent. Now thousands of people have honored their loved ones because of his passion to help others. My son’s name is on this beautiful board.
This board’s ever changing textures, colors, and grains reminded of the breadth of human emotion we experience while on our journey through grief. Made out of the fallen mighty California redwoods, it mirrors what is a mighty love shared with all those we have lost. Board 6!
@hannah_moors Other teachers need to hear this. They might be, today, where you were last year. Teachers are one of the greatest gifts to children. Thank you to all kind and hardworking teachers.
