I used to fight z-index by adding digits. 10, 100, 9999. Now when something won't sit on top, I go looking for a stacking context instead. It's almost always a transform or an opacity on some parent I forgot about, and the 9999 was never going to win.

3/3 html-class-lsp: a language server that only suggests CSS classes from stylesheets your page actually loads, so your AI agent stops inventing classes that don't exist.

1/3 Oct 28: the tiny details that make an AI-built site feel pro. Know this today:

Lightbox by https://t.co/VU0GriWWbF: headless React lightbox on Base UI + Motion with pinch zoom, swipe and pull-to-dismiss. No CSS of its own, style it with Tailwind.

2/3 Concentric: a tiny tool from Tiny Design Tools that works out the inner border-radius (outer radius minus padding) and gives you ready-to-paste CSS, so nested cards and buttons stop looking slightly off.

3/3 Font Fam, fresh from Show HN: a catalog of 2,181 free open-source fonts, many variable. A fast way to find a typeface with character instead of yet another Inter. #webdev

1/3 Oct 27: your AI-built site may ship more React than it needs. Worth knowing today:

TanStack Redact 0.2 is a lighter drop-in for React DOM. Plug it into your Next.js or Vite config, no code changes: bundles ~20% smaller in Next.js, up to 70% in Vite.

[G @ga8ri33l]

2/3 Make your site printable with CSS (good, better, best): a ready print stylesheet with break-inside: avoid and link URLs shown in brackets. Hand it to your AI agent and get a clean print or PDF of any page, no separate template.

@Anniliese_ETH These help, but what moved the needle for me was feeding the agent our actual design tokens and a couple of reference screens, then having it screenshot the result and compare. Generic skills kill the purple gradients, they don't give you your own look.

[G @ga8ri33l]

@dani_avila7 Been using it for perf work and the trace plus insights flow is the best part. One gotcha: the perf tools can send the page URL to the CrUX API to pull field data. Fine for public sites, but on staging or client URLs I run it with --no-performance-crux.

3/3 Sharingan: 16 animated hero sections (WebGPU and DOM) for React and as web components. Still a draft you run locally, but a goldmine of ideas for your next landing.

1/3 Monday, Oct 26: patch Node before your AI ships anything else.

Broccoli2Shell (CVE-2026-111497) is a critical Brotli decoder bug that can mean RCE in Node apps (Next.js fetch(), Express 5 bodies). Bump to 22.23.4, 24.22.1 or 26.12.1 and redeploy.

2/3 design-to-motion: a new AI design skill that turns a static design (a Figma frame, a bento, a dashboard) into an animated showcase you can export as MP4 or GIF. In Cursor, you just drop it in as a rule.
https://t.co/plIiE03WSE

[G @ga8ri33l]

3/3 AI SDK Web Fetch: official Vercel AI SDK tool that lets the agent in your app read pages as markdown with any model, with a domain allowlist and no custom scraper.

1/3 Sunday, Oct 25: 3 finds to know before your AI ships its next site #webdev

dimensional-drawing: an agent skill that draws a component (card, dialog) like an Apple technical drawing, with paddings, radii and layers. A ready UI spec for Cursor.
https://t.co/NkdkmSsUcg

[G @ga8ri33l]

2/3 creative-ui: a new shadcn registry of designer React + Tailwind components (halftone, grain, image trail, carousels) plus skills for art direction. Each one lands in your project with a single shadcn CLI command.
https://t.co/y0bS8RXNfn

[G @ga8ri33l]

I still reach for a plain CSS file before Tailwind on small projects, mostly because future me can read it. Which tool do you keep choosing even though everyone keeps telling you there's something better?

[G @ga8ri33l]

3/3 Next.js 16.4.3 fixes Google fonts with extensionless URLs and proxy.ts not loading the app-page runtime. https://t.co/wp2DKcEyah

Safari TP 255: 15 line-clamp fixes. Retest truncated card text.

1/3 Oct 24: make your AI-built landing feel alive today.

Reveal (Fluid Functionalism): one class, reveal-landing, animates the whole page on load and scroll. It installs via the shadcn CLI, so Cursor adds section animations without you writing them. https://t.co/31pOiFBlW1

[G @ga8ri33l]

2/3 Unfold: a foldable iPhone Duo in pure HTML and CSS, shipped as one web component (60 KB, zero deps, MIT). It opens and rotates, so you can drop a mockup with your own screens into your hero, no WebGL. https://t.co/AgSrpOxz2q

[G @ga8ri33l]

Every side project I've abandoned died the same way. Weekend one: the perfect stack, monorepo, auth, CI. Weekend two: wondering what the app was actually for. The ones I shipped all started as a single ugly HTML file.
