A long overdue border wall. It will be the largest federal infrastructure project in Nigeria. It's not going to be just concrete and steelwires. It will be a smart wall, with ground sensors, sentry towers, cameras and drones.

Yes, billions of dollars will have to be invested, but in the long run, it will be a small price to pay.

Nigeria has spent over ₦33 trillion on defence and national security in the last decade and we will continue pouring billions into security operations with diminishing returns if we do not take the bold step to address our most critical vulnerabilities, our ridiculously porous borders.

Securing our borders is not what we can afford to postpone. Its an investment in breaking the cycle of endless conflict, infiltration and replenishment of terrorist networks.

My fiancée increased her own bride price from ₦3 million to ₦10 million because she found out how much I had just made.

I went to Anambra with my fiancée and her family for our preliminary bride price negotiations.

By that point, I had already spent over ₦4 million taking care of most of the items on the traditional list.

When we got to the issue of the bride price, her father mentioned ₦3 million.

He explained that his daughter had two master’s degrees from the UK and that the family considered her highly educated.

Before I could even respond, my fiancée spoke from the corner of the room.

“Daddy, ₦3 million is too small. He just closed a $20,000 tech contract last month. If he really values me and respects this family, he should pay ₦10 million...Anything less is too small for someone like me.”

I looked at her, then I looked at her father.. no comments from him.

I took out my phone, paused for a moment, and slowly stood up.

“You're completely right,” I said..
“A woman with two UK master’s degrees is a serious investment.”

“But if you've already put a price on yourself before we've even started our marriage, then I think I've misunderstood what we're here to build.”

I looked at her one last time.
“So I'll leave you on the market for someone who's willing to pay the full ₦10 million.”

Nobody said a word as I walked out.

Good news...... My sister has been found today, she was sick and was taken to the hospital 🏥 from the airport 🛫
