In August of 2020, $AMZN hit $175 per share. Today it is at $180 per share. So essentially zero growth for the stock PRICE in the last 5 years.
In that quarter of 2020, Amazon did $96B in revenue and $6.3B in profit.
Last quarter, Amazon did $188B in revenue and $20B in profit.
So almost double the revenue and triple the profit.
I cannot stress this enough...if you only look at share price to determine if you are right or wrong, you are probably not going to do well.
In the short run, stocks are a voting machine, in the long run, they are a weighing machine.
