Beekeepers often ask how you know when the honey flow is over.... well here is a great sign.
The bees are coming to clean the honey off of my ladder. It had only been set up outside for 2 minutes. With that many bees in that short of a time frame.... I would say the flow is done
This weather has taken a toll on all of us, but these poor bees lost their house last night. The limb of this huge red oak broke off last night and took this hive with it.
We got the call and have been able to remove the bees and will be giving them a new hive #savethebees
“Trap outs” never work. These bees have been in this column for years. Trap outs only will catch the foraging bees. And the queen is replacing them with 2000 more bees a day. Bees should be professionally removed to ensure they don’t return #gabeeremoval#savetheebees
