It’s hard to think of a more profound and consequential glow up within a political office than going from Kim Foxx to EOB. Like a baseball team going from worst to first in a year.

We’re going to look back at the era where Kim Foxx, Brandon Johnson, and Tim Evans overlapped in office (2023/2024) as amongst the worst period Chicago has ever seen leadership-wise. Thank god it is over.

Toni Preckwinkle is keen to advertise how she has presented 15 balanced budgets and has not raised County property taxes.

Toni's budgets in the last several years were "balanced" only because of COVID funding.

Property taxes account for a small portion of the County budget.

Preckwinkle is responsible for Cook County's combined sales tax rate of 10.25 percent, among the highest in the nation.

Incumbent Toni Preckwinkle is asked whether she still supports Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, who she endorsed for Cook County commissioner and then for mayor.

Preckwinkle now says she prefers to “stay in my lane.”

The Democratic primary is March 17.

In four seconds, Reilly beautifully defined @ChicagosMayor's term and put responsibility for Johnson's election squarely on Boss Toni.

Now Preckwinkle’s protege Mayor Johnson is trying to return the favor: endorsing his mentor Toni for re-election.

Preckwinkle’s county property tax tech disaster that sent out bills months late is now costing suburban schools over $120 million in interest payments and Chicago Public Schools $230,000 a DAY. Disaster.
