Prof. Jane Ambuko's academic journey began at Mulwakhi Primary School and Bunyore Girls High School, leading her to the University of Nairobi @uonagriculture for a BSc in Agriculture, despite her initial goal of studying Medicine. She earned her MSc in Horticulture in 2001 and, in 2004, received a Japanese Government Scholarship for doctoral studies at the University of Tsukuba, graduating with a PhD in 2008. She has since been promoted through the ranks, becoming a Professor of Horticulture in October 2023.
