Trump and Micheál Martin joking about the housing catastrophe is all you need to know about both of them.

Trump is no friend of ordinary people. He's a billionaire who's smart enough to know people are angry and that he can present himself as an outsider.

But behind the bluster and the disgusting racism is the same old story: helping the rich get richer while the poor get poorer.

Trump is a real estate tycoon - no wonder he thinks the Irish housing crisis is a good thing. It's exactly the sort of thing he'd like to profit from.

And what to say about Martin. Pathetically trying to laugh with Trump sums up his attitude. The United States says jump, the Irish Government says how high.
