I watched the film Toxic yesterday thanks to my dear friend Yash for screening it. I was wondering how the director Geethu Mohandass had conceptualized beyond cinematic imagination and executed the scenes well.
Yash needs a special mention for his performance in handling difficult scenes with ease specially in the climax. I feel one should watch this movie for many reasons as it has technical excellence and individual performances and picturization.
A little ahead of its time. I appreciate the team's efforts. Please watch and make your own opinion.

As an artist, when you play a character, you try to bring it to life from the bottom of your heart. And here, I am truly impressed by the conviction with which the struggle of a powerful man has been portrayed.
Maybe the plot and driving characters are not on the usual track on which most films travel, but that doesn’t mean the track is wrong. The effort that goes into telling a story, and the journey it takes from being a thought in the mind to becoming a film on screen, is humongous.
@TheNameIsYash sir, hats off to the way you have surrendered yourself to a character and a world that demands a larger-than-life performance. I could clearly feel that in every single scene.
It’s not easy to give the audience an experience of how guilt multiplies and increases the toxicity in life. I stand with you for attempting this daring experiment, sir.
We love you for the love you have for taking Kannada cinema to the global stage.

Best wishes to @GeetuMohandas and @TheKVNofficial
Just want to say this, @TheNameIsYash — you’ve genuinely tried something out of the box rather than taking the predictable route of making another regular, expected, formulaic follow-up to your previous commercial blockbuster.
It takes a different mindset, conviction, and most importantly, the guts to attempt something like this.
#Toxic is an unusual and commendable attempt. There are several portions that are genuinely intriguing and open to great debate, discussion, and learning.
Kudos to you for daring to experiment and step away from the conventional.
Bestest wishes, my friend. ❤️🤗

Just walked out of Toxic and I’m actually embarrassed for half of you.
3 hours, locked in. Yash is unhinged fire. First half builds the world, second half turns into full psychological territory — Shutter Island type mind-fuck, not your regular mass masala.
That’s why so many of you are crying “boring” and “torture.” You came for punch dialogues and interval bangs. The film stopped holding your hand and started playing with your head. Telugu mass crowd especially checked out the moment it stopped spoon-feeding.
You didn’t hate the movie.
You just couldn’t follow a film that actually has layers.
Stay mad. Some of us still watch cinema.

#Toxic will definitely age better with time. The movie has its flaws but the heart was at the right place. Trying something like this and putting it into the screen is not easy. The screenplay is a bit lacklustre but it definitely doesn’t deserve the criticism at this scale, it’s not at all justified. #Yash was the soul of the movie and carried it single handedly. What an aura! what screen presence!
Trying something like this takes guts. Criticism should be constructive and I am seeing people who haven’t even seen the movie just criticising it to look cool and go with the flow.
Please watch the movie and decide for yourself, do not go with the herd mentality. It’s not a masterpiece but neither a disasterpiece but an enjoyable experience in the theatre.

Growing up, I discovered many South Indian films through Hindi-dubbed films on YouTube, and for many of us, that was our first introduction to South Indian cinema. Over the years, that audience has only grown, but Yash feels like one of the stars who truly helped make South Indian cinema feel pan-Indian.
Surpassing the opening of his own breakout film, KGF 2, was no small feat, and Toxic continuing that momentum despite an A rating and plenty of online negativity says a lot about his pull.
The youth, in particular, seem to be responding to the film’s action, characters and audacious scale.
Speaking of three-hour+ experimental big-scale fantasy escapist fare from Kannada cinema, the only one that managed to do something interesting (even though some of it didn't work for me) is this. I wouldn't mind seeing Rakshit do more like this. At least they do justice to the word "cinematic."
The best KGF Chapter 2 celebration video on the internet, even today is from Kerala, and I got goosebumps watching it.🔥
