Naval architect, sailor, surfer, & skier. Perpetual optimist & occasional realist easily pleased by little things. Bringing #DRYRIDE to bikelanes near you soon.
@fitterhappierAJ@TRyanGregory@lisa_iannattone This time, I had a mild sore throat on day 1 and now just a runny nose, and am testing strongly positive on a RAT. Is my body putting up less of an immune response? Is this good, worrying, or something else? Thanks!
@JuniperFolly Hey Jenn, I've been prototyping and think I'm pretty close to the best solution: this is prototype 4 of the DryRide. Warm, dry, and doesn't require putting wet rain gear on again after work. Email me through https://t.co/BksCq7uKAI or follow for updates
@pierrick_taluy @PhilipMarciniak@dry_ride I haven't had steering issues, but have my speed limiter set at 32km/hr so perhaps just haven't hit the critical speed yet. Do you mean that you have to steer more sharply than you would normally need at high speed?
@Saanich I cleared the bike lane and sidewalk in front ofmunicipal Hall around 6pm today.
You next! Do the sidewalks and bike lanes why not. The state of sidewalks and bike lanes are treacherous.

I had so much fun recording field audio from the Great Bear Rainforest for this podcast on bear conservation and research in BC. Thanks for getting me involved @GenomeBC
BC's bears are iconic 🐻 which is why we have a whole podcast episode talking about them!
Our season opener "Pizzly Bears, Anyone?" is chock full of on the ground sounds, insights from bear experts and some fascinating science. Find it here: https://t.co/6QneJdz4xF
PLEASE DONATE to the 22-year-old new refugee from Afghanistan who was stabbed in #ChinatownYVR while delivering food.
He's suffering life-altering trauma.
He has no friends/family here, he faces a language barrier & his housing is not ideal for recovery.

@BikeThisCity In five years many of your friends will come to the same conclusion you did. I just bought an ebike (rad runner with double baskets) and adore it, though it's true I am riding my other bikes a bit less. 100% worth it! Trust yourself!
@jdickerson@SlateGabfest I really appreciated your discussion on 10/21/21 of whether to encourage a friend to leave their career and whether they may find themselves "at sea". I left a promising engineering career in ’17 to become a mariner and am now a sailing ship's captain 1/
Several things made this necessary and practical: 1-Was bored and stressed at work, 2-Had no desire for any other jobs in my company, 3-Had a supportive fiancee (now wife) to help through the transition. 10/10 would recommend to others feeling similarly. 2/
