@mossydoyle@john_mcguirk So you'd prefer 'just as censored as us so called spastics' .. spoilthevote showed about 13% have broad common objective - providing competent leadership to that constituency requires overlooking the personal, creating a broad church and resisting trite dismissals
@BDeaneTweet@john_mcguirk@rtewatch Yeah .. ok .. as a poster point taken .. it's more of a censored narrative aimed at shifting the Overton window .. it's working as that
@Dazzerdig27@john_mcguirk Thanks but it's the Irish People Party .. but it's a clever comment by you of you re supporting the Independent Ireland Party candidate
@john_mcguirk Hi John, l appreciate a lot of your work and enjoy your weekly podcast with Sarah, but seems like a bit of a jab towards @AjCahillIP. Can l ask you, if it said Mum instead of Mom would you still have an issue or might you agree with the message?
“Terminally online”, really? @RossLahive1 — one of our members — was in court again last week for real-world activities, while also appealing a three-month prison sentence for exposing a drag story time in a Kerry library.
Below is a real-world video clip of members campaigning for transparency and fairness for Irish people in social housing at last month’s Galway City Council meeting.
The poster you reference is on a real-world pole. We had a real-world visit to the Garda station this week following the removal of many of our posters, which was called for in public posts by the same type of people stereotyped in the posters. It is notable that there were no nose rings or dyed hair at the real-world repeal of the GRA meeting I attended last month.
The same type of people who, I suspect, got @BreakingPointIE cancelled three times have had their empathy weaponised. We understand this is not limited to women, but given their natural disposition, they are particularly susceptible to it and ironically will be its greatest victims. This is a conversation worth having, as the feminisation of the levers of power in the Western world continues; the poster is an attempt to move that Overton window towards that discussion.
I could have posted real-world clips from libraries, protests, or the sovereign voyages, showing our members having real-world interactions with dyed-hair, nose-ring-wearing individuals. While some focus on spelling in the comments, rather than the core issue of the weaponisation of women and others— ideas imported from the US, associated with Herbert Marcuse and others work on critical theories— we have just passed the 51st anniversary of the fall of Phnom Penh, when the Khmer Rouge emptied a city of two million people in 24 hours also powered by Marcuse. Wearing black pyjamas and slippers was their uniform; are dyed hair and nose rings the modern iteration of the most extreme zealots?
This is starting to remind me of the early civil rights in the North of Ireland, when catholics were denied housing and they ended up taking the housing.
