Thrilled to announce that I will be joining the amazing @docpark at Case Western Reserve University Hospital in a few months!
If LeMaitre finds out, maybe they will bring back the cutters for us to do the mythical, hybrid SFA remote endarterectomy again!!

Have you ever tried to manipulate a 0.014 wire with a 0.035 torque device and get 😖?
Sometimes, if you happen to have a yellow V8 torque, you can kind of get it to work, but even then it doesn’t work… PLUS, opening 1 just for the torque is $$
INSTEAD, use two 0.035!

@farkomd@thesurgerylife Naw, but have been in Ohio every Christmas break for the first 20 years of my life.
Like my son says, there are much better wardrobe options living where it’s cold vs where it’s hot.
Applications for the 2026 Vascular Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, and Complex General Surgical Oncology Qualifying Exams, and the Surgical Critical Care Certifying Exam are due today. It is also the final day to submit your case log - https://t.co/Yuaa7ulhw5
@dtmcdevitt There generally isn’t a 0.014 torque unless it comes with a micro wire. I mean, I know you can buy one, but they’re just not generally available.
Two green ones worked really really well

Amazon Prime costs $139/year.
Most members use 2 features: free shipping and Prime Video.
That's a $139 subscription doing the job of a $5.99 delivery fee.
J.P. Morgan estimates the actual value of Prime benefits at approximately $1,430/year more
than 10x the membership cost. But most of that value sits unclaimed behind tabs, menus,
and pages 200 million members have never opened.
And 4 of those benefits expire monthly. If you don't claim them by the end of the month,
they're gone. Amazon resets the clock. You paid for them. You lost them.
Amazon is counting on you not knowing.
Here are the 12 Prime benefits most members have never activated including the 4 that
vanish every 30 days 🧵
It is with great sadness that we share the news that retired Army Colonel (Dr.) Norman M. Rich, Professor Emeritus and one of the founding figures of the SAVS passed away on June 18, 2026, at the age of 92. His lifetime achievements were too numerous to count. He established the Vietnam Vascular Registry, which became the model for modern military outcomes databases and trauma registries, helping physicians study injury patterns, refine treatments, and save lives on battlefields around the world. He also founded the Walter Reed Vascular Fellowship Program and was president of several major vascular societies. Among his many honors were the Bronze Star, the Legion of Merit, the Presidential Medallion presented by President Ronald Reagan, the Society for Vascular Surgery Lifetime Achievement Award, the Michael E. DeBakey Award, the René Leriche Award, the Founders Award of the American Venous Four, and ultimately was designated as an “Icon of Surgery”. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life of extraordinary purpose and impact. Dr. Rich leaves behind a legacy measured not only in surgical innovations, academic achievements, and professional honors, but also in the countless lives saved by those he taught, the institution he helped build, and the generations of military medical professionals who continue to follow the example he set.
Last game in a whirlwind of World Cup- week and it’s time to get back to work and watching only on a phone… or on a couch…. What a crazy month.
Can’t wait to see how far @USMNT and team Mexico will go…very intriguing start for both!
Didn’t get to go to @VascularSVS meeting this year, but did get to catch up with some good friends while in Houston!
@GustavoOderich, thanks for hosting me, and my family where I even got to see @Jayer_Chung!
