Oops.
Thank you @LeonSimons8 for catching a typo and pointing out that I was still using the 1982-2011 baseline for North Atlantic Sea Surface Temperatures, even though I had updated the graphic to read 1991-2020.
It looks the same, but the y-axis is now the 1991-2020 baseline.
Wow! Wow! Wow!
North Atlantic sea surface temperature anomalies are going vertical again. And yes, I needed to extend the y-axis.
Yesterday's temperature of 24.49°C (76.08°F) was 4.2σ above the 1991-2020 mean. The previous high for July 17 was 23.71°C (74.68°F) in 2020.
Code Yikes!!!
Yesterday's North Atlantic sea surface temperature just hit a new record high anomaly of 1.33°C above the 1991-2020 mean, with an average temperature of 24.39°C (75.90°F).
By comparison, the next highest temperature on this date was 23.63°C (74.53°F), in 2020.
I am closely watching our planet's temperature lurch upward again (12-month running mean; updated through June 2023)... #HumanCausedClimateChange

The Swiss Alps had a disastrous year in 2022, losing 6% of the glacier ice volume.
This winter has been even worse.

Never mind you can't ski in the Alps this winter. Think about the empty rivers in spring and all the failed harvests this summer all over Europe.

According to @wegatech and @YouGov, #energyindependence is important for 81% of GER homeowners. 34% will likely get a PV system, showing the need for increasing their energy independence without self-production. #energysharing is key for #utilities to satisfy this need.
The #Rhine water levels have dropped so low you can literally walk across it in some parts. It's now becoming an inland beach. Transport ships can now only carry 30% of the load, tripling transport costs. The EU response -they are trying for "Carbon Neutral" by 2030. Bit late....
