I had good intentions when I took over this tin shed from a local friend (in bits of course).
It was when I started to re-assemble this monster that I realised my Mensa membership had run out years ago ! NOW with Solar lighting.
@eevblog We used to have something like that in the old Strowger telephone days, called a routiner, only difference was if you thumped it to unfreeze a sticky relay, it would come up *** TILT***

Now Iβm getting better, I have a week of holiday. We are going to spend a lot of it re-roofing and repairing the block of 4 stables. Iβll learn about 2 layer torch on felt and installing roof windows.
@jennyb61 Yuk... A guideline value for 50Hz works out at 12.5uF for a quarter horse (250w) motor up to 47uF fo a 1 horse.
I guess you sorted it by now anyway.
