sometimes living in texas pisses me off but then sometimes you're driving in the hill country in the late afternoon and you see a sunset so beautiful it makes you want to go back to church. something about this place.
a lot of you talk about critique when you mean review, because you don’t actually know what literary/writing critique actually entails. you talk about literacy crisis but you aren’t actually equipped or taught to give critique and confuse it for another form of text evaluation.
I do not care how cringe people think this is, They are right. The internet used to be fun and it belonged to all of us. And it still can be if we fight for it.
@virtualrealitae They didn’t have great campaigns, but Biden’s campaign wasn’t much better, yet he’s the only one who managed to beat Trump. If a woman ran against Cuomo, she’d probably lose. This country does *not* like women.
This person is proof that some people believe themselves to be so much more intelligent than the media they consume that they assume them realizing a thematic angle they believe no one else noticed (they did) means the media “isn’t as smart as people think it is”
I like when people discover how ASS some of these celebrities were.
Rihanna wasn’t even afforded the dignity of being treated like a victim. Her trauma became public spectacle, celebrities were calling BOTH of them victims, others were more concerned about Chris Brown’s career, and people were already demanding everyone move on. The media scrutinized her more than they empathized with her. And THIS is the cultural climate in which she released Rated R. That’s why I’ll forever defend that era. She refused to let the world reduce her to what happened to her.
While I enjoy the Nicole Kidman song I think she just comes off as though she’s entirely overstudied the concept of being a popstar. Tate is having a similar effect with me. But maybe audiences are looking for that.
What made Glee so culturally important and relevant is also the music. Not only the cast was talented but their covers and mashups were genius. They boosted songs at the top of the charts. They exposed young ppl to classics. The show is important for the music history preservation
you’re laughing, the gleeboot is going to have will schuster rapping not like us by kendrick lamar in the same episode as rachel berry singing golden from kpop demon hunters and you’re laughing
