@Peposed I remember going to Barnes & Noble to pick up the latest hardback of The Killing Joke to reread in line at the midnight release. It cemented my opinion of superhero movies and cinema in general. It was a helluva a time to be alive as a fan of Batman and film. We were spoiled.
I remember when getting a comic book made into a movie was a huge deal. Like maybe once every decade you’d get Superman, TMNT, or Batman. Then @MarvelStudios started something incredible with the first Iron Man. Man, what a dream those first couple of phases of the MCU were. A 🧵
@MarvelStudios If you didn’t like @MarvelStudios new film, then you don’t like the art of sequential story telling that is comic books or franchise films. If that’s the case case, don’t tell me Marvel phase one was good and this is lacking… just tell me you’ve lost your sense of wonder.
@MarvelStudios This weekend I enjoyed #CaptainAmericaBraveNewWorld for what it was meant to be. It did the work that all early #MCU movies and series did. It made the loose ends of earlier projects matter in a way that set the MCU on a path that means something for tales to come.
