@Pirat_Nation As long as these companies can't meet global supplies, they deserve no patent protection from competition. They desperately need more competition.
@eldarmark@bentbirds@BFrankzetta@memeticsisyphus The fact remains people who intentionally murder get 25 years. The cop was intentionally or unintentionally injured. I am against sentences that send messages, or treat some people as more important than others. Sentence him similarly to other such idiots.
@eldarmark@bentbirds@BFrankzetta@memeticsisyphus First, thank you for the footage. That there were shots fired and the cop hit are not in dispute. Some pretty stupid choices were made. In the video though, I am having trouble seeing the shooter, let alone where he was aiming.
@eldarmark@bentbirds@BFrankzetta@memeticsisyphus If you're right, that does change things a little, but the article you linked gave little detail, and no mention of a mag dump.
I have no issues with long sentences when deserved. I just don't think the wounding of anyone deserves a death sentence.
@VigilantFox Locking Fauci up? Yes please. But for shit like lying under oath and destroying emails? Really? Not for developing a bio weapon that killed millions?!? Wtf.
@Pagan_GMR If criticism is fine, but "demanding" change isn't (as if any of these people had that kind of leverage to change a request to a demand), what is the point of criticism and feedback then? It's not like the sentiment behind the feedback goes away even if they're forced to shut up
@CHelleaven@valvesoftware So, since you knew 4 years ago that RAM was "super low right now", you stockpiled it and are now making a fortune? No? Funny how yhat wrecks your argument, though.
@Azalakhir1@Bully_Ranger_Ak@BFrankzetta@memeticsisyphus I find the person who best defines their goals is generally the person themself, yet in these cases it's usually the government and media that does. Pardon me if I don't trust their honesty. If someone with a gun wants a cop dead, he'd genreally aim at them, no?
@theamericanistx@TheistDiscourse@BFrankzetta@memeticsisyphus You should know damn well by now that the next time a Biden tupe steals the election, you'll be targeted for your twitter posts with the sentencing guidelines you yourself proposed for them. Look at Britain.
@ForeArmGirth@eldarmark@BFrankzetta@memeticsisyphus Furthermore, if being caught for a crime is a death sentence, then what is the incentive to give warning shots? That doesn't make things any safer for cops.
@ForeArmGirth@eldarmark@BFrankzetta@memeticsisyphus Do yourself a favor, and go to a courtroom once at least before spouting this bullshit. The run of the mill nonsense, tax fraud, bar fights, weed possession, prostitution, domestic disputes, DUIs, etc, far outnumbers serious crimes from career criminals.
@TheistDiscourse@BFrankzetta@memeticsisyphus I hope you're never on the recieving end of that take to find out how retarded that is. I don't want to serve on a jury that gives you 100+ years for it if it were ever to take effect.
@BongoBrhamin@BFrankzetta@memeticsisyphus Why don't we just rip up the lawbooks completely then and give our honest and trustworthy politician friends the power to just execute whoever they want, whenever they want? The logical extension of your idea.
@Bully_Ranger_Ak@BFrankzetta@memeticsisyphus That's a slippery slope I don't like. It's just a fancy way for the government to brand people they don't like and ignore the law. Justice is supposed to be blind, so the actions themselves should be judged.
@eldarmark@BFrankzetta@memeticsisyphus Society is not served well when EVERY crime gets a life sentence. We have to pay to incarcerate these people. And someone getting minorly hurt by a ricochet not aimed at them is not something to destroy lives over (unlike the example crimes I mentioned).
