"detrans" doesn't mean "detransgender", it just means they are stopping their transitioning which can happen for a myriad of reasons. ppl need to stop assuming they're all cis.
@LordeBarrington at the job i just left, someone who had been there for years got covid and started making mistakes he hadn't been making previously. its definitely scary
@hi_its_annaleah i am in this boat too. i realized it a while ago but i forget often and catch myself trying to think my way out of it all the time. i hope you find ways to embody your healing ✨
@EbThen this thread really resonated with me. i only realized i was having panic attacks at like 21 bc a therapist told me that zoning out and having a mildly hard time breathing was a panic attack. i still forget almost 9 years later bc my experience with emotions as an autistic person
i wish my brain worked properly. i keep making the same bad decisions and doing things after ppl have asked me not to. i don't do it on purpose but the effect is the same.
give me those signals until they've told me to be quiet and i realize i should have known what i was doing. that it's obvious i was being loud. i just want a functioning brain
this thread really resonated. i also find i can't totally relax when i'm alone bc i'm always worried i forgot to do something or i'm doing something that will "get me in trouble" later. i'm constantly monitoring myself and idk how to stop
Sometimes I say that I am happiest when I am by myself, but I wonder if maybe I am just only actually *allowed to feel* happy -- like truly happy without that lingering soupçon of impending indecorum and fuckuppery -- when I am by myself.
I'm so tired of the Twitter dynamic where a disabled person says, "It's not nice to laugh at me because I can't walk very well" and Twitter immediately erupts into "LAUGHING ISN'T ABLEIST, YOU WEIRDO" and then say to each other, "Remember when they said laughing was ableist? LOL"
