👑 Story Behind the Artifact: Emperor Khải Định’s Royal Boots 👑
In Vietnamese culture, going barefoot was a common practice among the people. However, in the imperial court, tradition dictated that emperors, nobility, and officials wear ceremonial boots, or “hia,” adorned according to their rank. Each design element represented a distinct layer of authority and nobility.
🐉 Emperor Khải Định’s Royal Boots are a magnificent example of this tradition. As the highest-ranking figure, his "hia" were intricately decorated with symbols of dragons soaring amidst clouds and waves, embodying the power, wisdom, and sovereignty of the emperor. The dragon, revered as a symbol of imperial strength, merges with cloud and wave motifs, reflecting the harmonious balance between heaven and earth in the emperor’s rule.
🥇Thanks to Galerio’s advanced 3D scanning, processing and web conversion, we bring these iconic boots to life in stunning digital detail. Viewers can explore every stitch and design up close, highlighting the artistry of Vietnamese imperial craftsmanship. Through interactive spatial rendering on platforms like Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest, users can fully immerse themselves in the legacy of Emperor Khải Định’s era.
With Galerio, we’re connecting today’s audiences to the stories embedded in each artifact like the emperor’s "hia", which carry the legacy of a culture rich in history and symbolism.
