@Crowlesz@TheRealKitty019 you didn't really say anything
Pokemon was on many consoles, despite you claiming it is on only one
it doesn't really makes sense to "both sides" this issue
Nintendo straight up sued Pocket Pair and effectively lost
if you're just tired hearing about it, click "not interested"
@GreenTextRepost even when someone has an agenda, artists still have to rely on how they feel things would play out in reality, and this can result in portraying the flaws accurately even if they don't intend
if the artist is good to begin with, that is
@HoshizoraRune@TheRealKitty019 and no idea why you'd go and block me while we weren't even having a heated discussion, I'm ready to continue, I don't think any drama happened. Vtuber women are allowed to enjoy Ark and modern Pokemon, I concede this much for sure
@HoshizoraRune@TheRealKitty019 so at some point if you copy someone else on the highest meta level, but make it something actually enjoyable, can you say it's stolen? Can you possibly name the genre after a dysfunctional mess precursor? I think the answer is clear.
@HoshizoraRune@TheRealKitty019 well, there's a clear distinction
comparisons are fine, people will do it
term "Ark-like" isn't used and would never catch
like when blizzard devs during a big PoE annoucement grudgeposted that the genre should be called "Diablo-like" long after losing in every way to PoE
@ALegendaryDrops but ultimately there's way more things overlapping here.
Trash Taste are myopic from the media they consume, and the longpost reply said they're wrong but did little to nothing to clarify what the situation really is.
@ALegendaryDrops This opinion comes from tropes.
And speaking of tropes, I'd say more than half modern isekai anime starts with "I had a dead end job with compulsory overtime, got ran over by a truck I didn't see and reincarnated into a cool fantasy world"
It gives more weight to this hypothesis,
@TheRealKitty019 People just wouldn't ever say "Ark-like". Ark sucks tremendously on mechanical level/in terms of gameplay streamlining/progression/usability, enough to make people think the entire genre isn't for them.
Since you liked Palworld, I can almost guarantee you'd also like Valheim.
