How does it work? Link in bio.
AI companies keep telling people they’re going to replace their jobs. Then they wonder why those same people don’t want to buy.
Last night at a Manhattan Chamber of Commerce event, I met a bookkeeper who told me she gets flooded with pitches for “AI-powered automated bookkeeping.”
Her reaction was basically: Why would I pay for software that’s telling me it wants to eliminate my job?
Especially when the software can’t actually do every part of her job.
So I repositioned the exact same product on the spot:
“What if instead they said: We help you get your bookkeeping done faster, so you can serve more clients?”
Completely different reaction.
Then I asked her one more question:
“What if another bookkeeper told you they were using it and recommended it?”
She said she’d buy it.
That’s the shift I think AI companies are missing.
AI can write more copy.
It can generate more ads.
It can send more outbound.
What it can’t manufacture is trust.
And as AI makes it cheaper and easier for every company to flood the market with more marketing, I think customer marketing becomes more valuable, not less.
Your customer explaining:
Here’s what I was trying to do.
Here’s how I use this product.
Here’s what it actually does for me.
…is far more persuasive than another company telling the market how revolutionary its AI is.
The AI companies that win won’t just have the best technology.
They’ll have customers willing to vouch for it.

.@Jason was a big reason I got into clipping.
His attitude: don’t just talk about it. Go do it.
That eventually became a whole business.
I talked about this with @galinaofny on Artificial Reality.
One episode can become daily content across six platforms.
Good clipping still deserves real attention.
AI isn’t necessarily making us work less. It’s helping us do more with the same time.
You can build a presence without constantly recording yourself — but the human creativity still has to be there.
I got into this with @galinaofny on Artificial Reality.
AI can scale your voice. It shouldn’t remove your judgment.
AI is an amazing tool, but you can’t assume it knows your context.
My fix: keep one master file with the latest state of your business and make sure the AI can access it.
I got into this with @galinaofny on Artificial Reality.
Better context. Better output.
AI made it much easier to turn an idea into a product.
That also means more competition for attention.
I talked about this with @galinaofny on Artificial Reality.
The bottleneck is moving from execution to distribution.
Build the thing. Then learn how to get it seen.
Take social media just as seriously as AI.
Your company might change. Your idea might change. Your name can move with you through every pivot.
I shared this as my parting advice with @galinaofny on Artificial Reality.
Get comfortable sharing your voice. It gets easier.
AI adoption happens in Times Square at a fashion show under the watchful eye of @OpenAI
All of them use AI in some way or another. I’m here to listen to their stories: what works, what doesn’t, and what they want built. Because someone needs to.
Bless the OpenAI engineers sitting in their San Francisco office late into the night working on the latest models (excuse the pun).
They’ll find me out on the streets documenting how their tech is impacting lives and what they should build next. I really love what I do, so follow me for on the ground AI adoption coverage!
I posted one director role and got 300 applicants.
Somebody in Silicon Valley should build an app for recruiting — swipe through 30-second calls, hear what people are working on, match on fit.
@galinaofny called it exactly that when we talked on Artificial Reality: “Tinder for recruiting.”
Would you use it?
A year ago, I cloned my voice and started turning the tech stories I was already reading into short-form videos.
Today we publish 2 a day, and it’s helped add ~10K followers across platforms.
Shared the workflow with @galinaofny on Artificial Reality.
AI helped turn a daily habit into a content engine.
One of my earliest AI use cases was health.
Explain what’s going on, get useful guidance, and still be pointed toward real medical care when it matters.
I shared about this with @galinaofny on Artificial Reality.
There’s real potential for AI to make healthcare more accessible and informed.
Where do you think AI can help most in healthcare?
Our AI content stack at Cliptastic:
ElevenLabs for voice. Claude + ChatGPT for scripts, using a master prompt built around my voice and style.
I talked about this with @galinaofny on Artificial Reality.
AI can give you five versions. The human still decides what actually goes out.
Your voice is an extension of your brand.
AI voice lets you preserve it, create without always being on camera, and gives people who may lose their ability to speak another way to communicate.
I talked about this with @galinaofny on Artificial Reality.
Trying to stand out from 300 applicants?
A 30-second video saying who you are and why you’re good for the job can absolutely help.
I talked about this with @galinaofny on Artificial Reality — your social footprint matters too. Especially in media, an inactive LinkedIn can be a red flag.
Your online presence is part of the application now.
A founder with a 100-person company told me he dropped HubSpot because Claude now handles the CRM.
Leads, follow-ups, client check-ins — all of it.
I talked about this with @galinaofny on Artificial Reality.
If AI knows your whole business, how much software do you still need?
AI clipping tools are getting very good at finding the moment.
They're still not great at explaining why you should care about it.
I talked about this with @galinaofny: the first 3 seconds still need context, creativity and judgment.
Finding clips is easier. Making them worth watching isn't.
Every AI clipping tool can find a highlight. None of them can write a hook that survives the first 3 seconds.
@chrismadden_ ships 140 videos/wk for the biggest shows in tech and has generated 1 billion views in 3 years. So yeah, he knows what he's talking about.
The raw generation is solved. The taste isn't.
New episode ↓
He started an unofficial @theallinpod fan account during the pandemic. 30k followers in a month.
That got him to @HarryStebbings. First video for @20vcFund: 150k views.
A billion views later, he runs two agencies: @goodfuturemedia and @cliptastic365
Listen to learn where AI is genuinely making creative and video editing work better and where it still can’t replicate the judgment, taste and instinct of a great human editor.
