Missed most of the exchange but the lad with the red hoodie around his waist (and his family) all Liverpool fans in the home end!
He had a Liverpool shirt on!!! took it off when challenged by a steward! He was kicking off about it storming up and down!
Last season was predictable and boring. I found my self less and less excited climbing those steps every week. We could all feel off the starting 11 and the sub times.
This season will be full of anticipation and unpredictability…
I’m here for it
@EastStandBlockF £500m in player sales revenue plus multiple different brand deals.
Our biggest sale pre takeover was £35m
The only way we will ever be competitive it’s with a higher revenue.
They are doing exactly what they should be doing. It’s awful to watch as a fan… agreed.
@NewcastleFansU@jamiereuben@PIF_en They’ve generated almost half a billion in transfers fees alone since taking over.
Our record sale was £35m before that.
Their job is to increase revenue. Caring about our fan favourites is unfortunately counterproductive.
Gutless? Or very, very good at business?
@MindyNUFC It’s all to do with fans views of the player added to the fact they’ve gone to other prem teams.
Gordon got an easy ride because he … wasn’t really that good!!!
We got a great deal for a player we weren’t all too fussed by.
The others we would have definitely rather of kept.
@alexjyork Add to the fact our biggest sale pre takeover was £35m …
Puts into context the job PiF are actually doing growing the club despite how it looks
@NUFC_DazzaD@lawesdisorder Watch him…
You’re too romantic mate.
He’s club captain because he’s our best player and leader.
Also the reason he’s wanted by bigger teams… who can pay him more and offer more success.
Do u REALLY expect him to turn that down because he loves NUFC? Or are u just upset?
@browe67493@lawesdisorder *womp womp* he kissed the badge!
Oh my god listen to yourself. You’re far too attached. Like falling in love on a 10 day holiday.
They are gunna offer him double the money and medals mate!
I love my job but I’m leaving for that… both can be true.
@Nolberto099@DanHolmes1987@ScottParsons3@M_Gi11on It was actually way harder for Howe to fail than it was to win over the fans. Given the circumstances. Jackpot suggests that he was absolutely #1 and there was nothing better.
My point is he’s the only manager we’ve had since the takeover so how can we know that?
@stevei1892 It’s not the 50s Steve. He’s from Brazil and him not giving a fuck about NUFC shouldn’t be as shocking as it seems to be for people.
If we stop pretending that this isn’t normal for every other club we might actually be able to enjoy football again.
Players leave.
@Nolberto099@DanHolmes1987@ScottParsons3@M_Gi11on Hit the jackpot with Howe?
I love the man to death but that’s crazy.
He’s literally the only manager we’ve had post takeover. How can you confidently say that who ever it was in that position wouldn’t have done the same or better?
And as for the hit rate… not even close
@DanHolmes1987@Nolberto099@ScottParsons3@M_Gi11on We can’t compete UNLESS we sell our best players.
The owners are doing a great job generating revenue to eventually be able to compete.
But we are still no where near. And until then we have to sell our best players.
It’s absolutely shite and corrupt af… but true
@M_Gi11on Couldn’t agree more. Pathetic, beggy, toxic ex vibes. ‘If you go you’ll lose you legend status’
1. No he won’t
2. Like he gives a fuck
He’s too good for us right now. He gave us his best years and did a brilliant job that he was paid to do. Simple. Accept it and let it be.
@kendallrowanx And rightly so…
But it’s the premier league that’s the real issue here.
We should be allowed to at least offer him more money to try and get him to stay.
But we can’t. So stand no chance.
That’s not his fault, though. It’s infuriating
@kendallrowanx Oh no. I just mean the general fall out seems to be ‘well Bruno, if you leave we won’t be your friend anymore!’ not necessarily what you’ve said. :)
Just feels desperate and beggy when the reality is… he is a legend and he was immense for us. We are all just sad and angry…
@kendallrowanx I think the reality is that it was either this way or he stays. The club was never going to voluntarily sell him.
It’s absolutely awful.
But it’s part of being in the middle ground as a club.
Threatening him that he’ll lose his legendary status just feels desperate.
