Hi all. I've been thinking a lot lately of all the young and perhaps not so young people in Israel that have, are or will be serving in the IDF. Every Israel Jew (with some exceptions) will serve in one way or another. Young people right out of high school. "Kids" that should be planning what college to attend or where to go out that night-will put their lives on the line to protect their families, friends, neighbors and nation from extermination at the hands of savages.
Sons, daughters, brothers and sisters. And many not quite so young-yet still young-mothers and fathers will leave their families to serve. The courage they show, the dedication, the professionalism. The fear and terror they must feel. The horrors they will see, either friends lost-or the need to take a life. Horrors that they will live with the rest of their lives. Far too many will be injured or make the ultimate sacrifice.
So much respect for those warriors, and so much absolute rage for the savages that make these sacrifices necessary. Everyone in Israel has family, friends or neighbors serving right now. Many Jews in America have families or friends in Israel that are. Far too many have seen the horrors of war. No nation should have to fight so hard and sacrifice so much for their very survival. The small size of the nation means many could drive from their homes to the front lines in a hour. Such a difference between Americans serving half-way around the world-not that they aren't equally deserving in respect. It's just different when you're fighting for your family's survival.
I have a request. Please keep them, and their families in your thoughts and prayers. Please send prayers, or if you are an atheist as I am, your best wishes for their safe return. Good luck, good hunting...and please come home to your families.
One more request. Today, Saturday, while many of our Jewish and Israeli friends are off-line for Shabbat, please, post a sign of support, an Israeli flag, a few words of support. They deserve it, and it would be a nice thing for them to see when they return.
@EricLDaugh You gotta be shitting me! I'm from WNY, this is disgusting. Buffalo is a shithole anyway, glad I left NYS over 30 years ago. You don't realize how backwards and regressive it is, until you move to a free state.
@ColinTheLefty@Trippy_BTC@shelbystardust Any MAN that puts on a dress to access a woman's dressing room, shower room or bathroom isn't a woman. He's a predator.
