For the verse of 'Mediocristan,' I decided to use an #electric #guitar and an electric #piano. I composed two #arpeggios that blend well together. The guitar sound is clean, without the usual slight natural #overdrive I set on the #crunch channel of the #Marshall #amplifier

Re-producing an #instrumental from the #nineties with the #MPC.
I chose this #sound #patch for the main theme of the verse #because of its #analogvibes.

The patch name is "Real Power" and it is a preset of the #Hype #synthesizer which comes for free with AKAI MPC

This #outro is very simple with a palm muted #strat and an #electricpiano mixed together.
It is the same part I am using in the intro, and I think I will add some pads and maybe shakers.

I didn't like the #drumpattern on the verse any more. I decided to replace it with this one where the open #hihat on the first #beat sounds powerful and groovy.
In the video I am playing the open and closed hi-hats patterns, as the rest of the drums were already in place.

Still trying to find a verse for this #instrumental track. I like this part based on an #electricpiano #riff with intriguing chord extensions.
The #bassline is doubled.
I am not using #quantization on all the instruments.
All the #soundpatches come from #stockplugins of the #mpc

I decided to replace the #synthbass part with a new one, more in line with the verse. I modified the #sound patch of the bass by removing the #compressor leaving it more natural. I split the bass on two different #octaves to be more present and to fit different devices. #mpc
