By asking that question you imply she did something that provoked that reaction. e.g The way she was dressed. The way she responded etc etc.
Everytime a black woman is reported beaten/murdered/raped on the TL. The question that frequently arises is:
"What did she do to deserve it?"
Until you realize how problematic that question is you will remain part of the problem we have in dealing with gender based violence.
