Game 4 was a coaching clinic with the way he utilized Jose Alvarado.

Down 20 in the fourth, most coaches run back the familiar lineup.

Bridges is the safe call, the media proof call. Brown stayed with Alvarado because a second ball handler was working. More pace, playmaking, less pressure on Brunson.

Alvarado paid it off. He contributed with a 3, a spinarooni layup down the middle, and a clutch assist to OG.

If it fails, Brown not only do the Knicks go back on the road 2-2 losing all momentum, but the media would blast Brown to oblivion, and everyone starts second guessing the decision to hire him.

It didn't fail. It gave us the 3-1 lead and probably the series.

And it's exactly why bringing Alvarado back was non-negotiable.
