Todd is turning into this months clickbait merchant of doom
Here he’s managed to convolute rake(contentious issue but a pricing one in a free market)with some other metric re full tilt and lock poker - and loves to talk “regulated” …. What is regulated ?

CoinPoker has long been a greedy rake trap, but now it’s (quietly) worse than ever.
Just because tons of shill pros promote them means nothing. Remember Full Tilt? Lock Poker?
At the end of the day, Coin is pocketing too much of your rightfully won money.
@ChadAHolloway@PokerStars@PokerNews Thanks I’m not looking an argument for no reason-I’ve seen some genuine first class behaviour from sites that you might consider “unlicensed” and I’ve seen pure rogue behaviour by “Tier 1” outfits. Trying to steer the wider conversation to conduct without as much focus on badges

Watch @PokerNews preach about avoiding "unregulated" sites. Total hypocrisy. They’re an affiliate business owned by Flutter/PokerStars. They don't shun rooms over ethics - they do it to protect corporate sponsors
@ChadAHolloway@PokerStars@PokerNews The consequences for other sites bad behaviour is bad PR and that can kill them stone dead
And my point is this-the regulatory badge can be used as a shield against bad PR thus ENABLING bad behaviour by those “prestige” operators - that’s what’s happened in UK pretty much
@ChadAHolloway@PokerStars@PokerNews The regulatory body to report to - they don’t handle individual player complaints - they’ll get you to submit it and then you’ll never hear about it again
They’ll pull a few out of the hat to justify their jobs (regulator) and the operator pays up to keep the show on the road
@ChadAHolloway@PokerStars@PokerNews On markets: PokerStars still accepts players from jurisdictions where it holds no local licence (grey-market operation). Public company status and “jumping through hoops” hasn’t stopped that, nor the repeated social-responsibility findings
Enjoy the Cruise 🚢
@ChadAHolloway@PokerStars@PokerNews Examples the Commission cited: customer staking £86k over 16 days with no manual review; another depositing £25k in 25 days before contact; nearly 8-hour session with 300+ bets. Followed the £490k fine in 2023 for marketing to self-excluded/GAMSTOP players

The paper trail is locked with the Isle of Man regulator (@IsleofManGSC). We’ve lodged formal notices on @GGPoker’s SAR data refusals, dual-licence account shifting, & hybrid fiat-to-crypto payment routing

There is a substantial volume of data to dissect—particularly concerning basic deficiencies in risk-based assessments and AML compliance. Let’s see if this licensing framework holds any genuine substance. We remain entirely unconvinced
@ChadAHolloway@PokerStars@PokerNews 3/3
If offshore licensing "doesn't make a difference" to local legality, what actually makes you comfortable - brand scale? Payout history? You surely can’t claim high-ground integrity while giving a free pass to selective local non-compliance?
@ChadAHolloway@PokerStars@PokerNews 2/3
They play ultra-compliant where local regulators force them to, yet harvest offshore revenue wherever local authorities lack teeth. So if @PokerNews won't cover "unregulated" operators, why does Stars get a pass for serving those exact zones?
@ChadAHolloway Bottom line: Selective gatekeeping isn't about safety—it's about affiliate revenue & protecting sponsors. Integrity is binary: you can't claim high ground while pooling traffic across non-licensed zones
@ChadAHolloway This is EXACTLY where this goes wrong in trying to paint one operator more compliant than others - they may get a few more licences , some even be seen as “Tier 1” but if they’re still engaged in bending/breaking the rules it’s nothing more than a smokescreen
