@WendyL612 “Student choice makes students active participants in their educations." Ss must be active in their education to garner the highest level of value from it. We want them to lead, not follow.

@WendyL612 @OPS_Virtual Autonomy is the biggest thing I see coming out of this allowing for Ss personalization, which is vital for quality learning. Ss need to have that control to create ownership of their education and eliminate learning that is not applicable.

@WendyL612 The biggest thing that stands out if the personalized learning time. Ss driving themselves on their pace and ability. This is vital in a true blended model. The biggest question is those Ss that don't meet the expected pace and fall too far behind - plan? Also, hard deadlines?

Ts much work to help Ss develop strategies to be a better leaner as the teacher should be a mentor in the middle.

@WendyL612 Read about Locust Grove Middle School @LGMS_HCS and their use of "soft deadlines" grabbed my attention. We deal with the struggle of being self-paced while staying on Pace at OVS and this seems to be a solution. Great idea.
