Took me a while to play Phantom Liberty. It's got its problems but the story is such an improvement over the base game and reminds me of witcher 3 at its best.

The first hour of Heretic is 10/10 gold. The second hour is serviceable. About halfway through the movie, Hugh Grant shares his idea for a video essay, Sophie Thatcher steals top comment. All downhill from there.

Back in 2011, Dragon Age and God of War were as diametrically opposed as two game series could get. They're closer now and share a lot of the same verbs and rhythms. I can't help wondering if that's a good thing.

Anyone else having an annoying little micro stutter while playing veilguard on PC? Game runs great for the most part but every now and then it will just drop a few frames for no discernable reason.

Still Wakes The Deep is a solid way to spend a few hours. It's spooky, pretty to look at, and paced very well. There's not a whole lot of "game" in there tbh, but worth playing if you're looking for something low investment and simple. Similar to Soma and the second Amnesia.

Yakuza 0 is so funny man. I started it thinking "wow, I'll get to understand how Kiryu became the strongest, wisest man in the world" and the answer is just that he's always been that way

Maybe it's because it's such a simple message in an otherwise overwritten game, or maybe it's because I'm about to become a father myself.. of Death Stranding's dozen or so themes, I think the one that resonates the most with me is what it has to say about fatherhood.

Going back and forth between The Knick (on HBO) and Manhattan (on Hulu), TV shows released in 2014 and 2015 respectively. Both wonderful. Easy to overlook back then when dozens of great shows were released every year. Casualties of the golden age. Check em out!
